Common questions

How this tool behaves

Which forms actually ask for 10 KB?

Ten kilobytes is at the small end of what Indian application portals ask for. It usually appears as a signature ceiling rather than a photo ceiling — several SSC and state commission forms state a 10 KB to 20 KB signature band, and some older PAN and KYC screens cap thumb impressions near this size.

Is 10 KB a target or a maximum?

At 10 KB a full-colour photograph will visibly degrade. If the portal is rejecting a photo at this size, re-read the instruction: it is more often the signature field that carries a 10 KB floor.

Does the file leave my device?

No. The image is decoded and re-encoded by your browser using the Canvas API. ImgNimble does not receive the source file on this page, and closing the tab clears both the input and the generated result.

Why did the result stop above 10 KB?

The tool stops at the minimum JPEG quality you allow rather than degrading the image without limit. Lower the maximum dimension, or lower the minimum quality slider, and run it again.

JPG or PNG for a 10 KB limit?

JPG, in almost every case. PNG is lossless and cannot be tuned to an exact byte target, so a photograph saved as PNG will usually sit far above the ceiling. Most Indian portals require JPG or JPEG anyway.

Will this guarantee my upload is accepted?

No. File size is one requirement among several — dimensions, format, background colour and face coverage are checked separately, and portals change their rules between cycles. Always read the current notification before submitting.

10KB ki photo kaise banaye?

Apni image choose kijiye, "Target size (KB)" mein 10 likhiye aur tool chalaiye. File aapke browser mein hi process hoti hai — kahin upload nahi hoti. Submit karne se pehle portal par size zaroor check kar lijiye.
