Where is a 1 MB limit common?
Job portals, visa and passport appointment systems, college admissions, insurance claims and many email services cap a single image at 1 MB. Marketplace listings and support ticket forms often do too.
Optimize · Browser-first processing
Start at a 1 MB (1024 KB) ceiling and let the on-device engine find the highest JPEG quality that fits.
Select a supported file or enter the requested values, then run the tool.
This browser path does not upload the selected source to ImgNimble. Closing or refreshing clears the selected files and generated result from the page.
Common questions

The engine tries the highest JPEG quality first and steps down only as far as needed. For a typical phone photo the change is not visible at normal viewing sizes. If the photo is very large, also set a maximum dimension such as 3000 px.
Portals differ. This page uses 1024 KB per MB, so the default target is 1024 KB. If your form says "1000 KB", type that number into the target field instead.
No. The output is JPEG so the size can be controlled precisely, and transparent areas become white. Use the PNG optimiser if you must keep transparency.
No. The image is decoded and re-encoded by your browser. ImgNimble does not receive the source file on this page, and refreshing clears both the input and the generated result.
Lower the maximum dimension and run again. The engine also stops at a minimum quality safeguard rather than producing an unusable image.
Practical checks
Keep the original, inspect the generated output and confirm the current destination requirements before replacing or submitting a file.
