An A4 sheet holds well over twenty 35 x 45 mm photographs, but eight to twelve with a cutting gap is the practical arrangement for home printing. A 4 x 6 inch photo paper sheet holds six to eight.

How this tool behaves
What DPI should I print at?
Three hundred DPI. Below that the print looks soft at passport size, and most photo-printing shops reject files under 300 DPI for document photographs. The PDF output here is laid out at print scale so the millimetre dimensions are physically correct.
Should I choose the PDF or the JPG output?
PDF, if you are printing yourself or sending to a print shop, because the page size and physical dimensions are embedded and will not be rescaled. JPG, only if the shop specifically asks for an image file.
Why is the cutting gap important?
Scissors and guillotines are imprecise. A 3 mm gap between photographs means a slightly off cut trims into the gap rather than into the next photograph, so you do not lose a copy to a crooked cut.
My printed photos came out the wrong size
Almost always a print dialog setting. Choose actual size or 100 percent scale, never fit to page, which silently shrinks the sheet by a few percent and makes every photograph undersized.
Does the file leave my device?
No. The image is decoded and re-encoded by your browser. ImgNimble does not receive the source file on this page, and refreshing clears both the input and the generated result.
